Why a trainee programme with us is worthwhile

Good performance takes time – and we give you this time during your trainee programme at SachsenEnergie. We offer you the ideal conditions to grow into your area of responsibility and develop your work experience.

Together we define goals and tasks that meet both your expectations and ours. We hold regular feedback meetings every six months. Over the course of the programme, you'll interface with other disciplines – a change of perspective that pays off.

How our trainee programme works

As a trainee, you'll complete a 24-month individual development programme and be given responsibility early on with your own projects. Together we'll determine which departments you'll work your way through. The trainee programme is therefore ideal for finding out where you can best contribute and possibly specialise further.

With your own projects, you'll be assigned responsibility at an early stage. In addition to a permanent supervisor in your 'home area', you'll also have a mentor at each of your stations.

You can also exchange experiences and lessons learned at regular networking meetings with other trainees.

Questions about the SachsenEnergie trainee programme

Who is the trainee programme aimed at?

The trainee programme is mainly aimed at university graduates (Diploma, Master or Bachelor). If you've recently completed your studies, are currently writing your thesis or have already gained some professional experience, then our trainee programme is just right for you.

What is the aim of the trainee programme?

Our trainee programme is a development programme for career starters where you gain your first professional experience. You'll receive a flow chart for the duration, which specifies the different departments you'll get to know during the programme.

Which degrees are particularly in demand?

At SachsenEnergie, graduates from almost all fields of study have the opportunity to take part in the trainee programme. We're especially interested in committed graduates from the following fields, among others:

Is this a limited-term contract?

Yes, the contract is limited to 24 months.

Is there a mentor?

Yes, you'll have a permanent contact person from the specialist department for your time as a trainee, who will be available to advise you the entire time.

Is there regular exchange between all trainees?

Yes, there's a trainee network meeting twice a year where all trainees from all departments can meet and exchange ideas.

How do I apply for a trainee position?

Our vacant trainee positions are generally advertised on our job board. If you don't find a suitable position, we're happy to receive your unsolicited application.

Which application channel is preferred?

We ask you to apply via the relevant job listing or via the unsolicited application button on our job board.

Is there an application deadline?

No, there is no application deadline. Trainees are recruited throughout the year at SachsenEnergie.

What does a promising application look like?

In order to submit a promising application, it's especially important that your documents are complete. Please send us your cover letter, your CV, your diploma or degree certificate, references and any certificates you may have.

How does the selection process work?

Our selection process is based on objective evaluation criteria. First, we make a pre-selection based on the application documents. We then invite the applicants for an interview. Our interviews are attended by the department supervisor and a representative from the HR department. Following the interview, we'll make a decision and get back to you within two weeks.
