Many of our sustainably oriented customers follow the PPA piloting and development path with us. With our customer Richard Neumayer GmbH, we were able to launch a pioneering PPA (Power Purchase Agreements) project in the Allgäu region in June of this year.

Various mechanisms are intended to promote the growth of renewable energies and support the energy turnaround. Mechanisms can be, for example, feed-in tariffs, direct marketing or PPAs.

With the energy crisis, the customer's desire for security and stable electricity prices increased, which PPAs in particular fulfill. This delivery concept is increasingly coming into focus for companies, cities and organizations to meet the demand for green electricity.

"The project was an important milestone for us, because with the switch to 100 percent green electricity, we wanted to include a PPA to promote the expansion of renewable energies in Germany. That was new territory at the time. The 7 MW plant is sufficient at midday to make our steel glow and form it. Energy-intensive companies like us have a lot of leverage and therefore we rely on clean and at the same time affordable energy. It's a good feeling to create measures with an impact, and to contribute together to limiting global warming (which is so important for humanity), Dirk Neumayer, Managing Director of Richard Neumayer GmbH, is pleased about the successful project.

We as SachsenEnergie are proud to have supported our customer on the way to this milestone in cooperation with ECG and solecos Verwaltungs GmbH. With the implementation of this project, the Richard Neumayer company is acting as a role model when it comes to climate protection.
